Anti-slip treatment

Non-slip products for hospitals, clinics and EMS

In hospitals, falls on the same level constitute a real public health issue. Indeed, although the floor of healthcare establishments must be non-slippery, accidents frequently occur. More than 4 out of 5 hospitals are affected by work stoppages due to falls on the same level. Clutter in the corridors with trolleys, freshly cleaned floors, soggy bathroom coverings, are all causes which can cause falls, sometimes very serious, in the services. In the operating room, interventions producing washing fluid – arthroscopies, peritoneal washings, intra-cavity washings and wound irrigations, by dripping hydroalcoholic solution can wet the floor and make it slippery.*

Prevent fall risks & Increase safety

To prevent the risk of falling on one level, non-slip floor coverings must be privileged, uneven surfaces and/or obstacles must either be removed or clearly marked, particularly in places of passage.

The floors must be cleaned regularly and any product accidentally spilled, during a leak or spill, immediately mopped up. Traffic lanes must be cleared of any obstacles.

You have to avoid gray areas by optimizing lighting and point out stairs, unevenness, temporary obstructions.

A non-slip and easily washable floor covering must be installed as a priority in high-traffic, high-risk areas and laboratories.
